Mr Heenan is a barrister at Francis Burt Chambers, and practises in commercial and public law. He was admitted in 2007 and worked at the State Solicitor’s Office, before being elected to the Bar in 2012 and appointed Senior Counsel in 2022.

Prior to his career in the law, Mr Heenan studied science at the University of Western Australia and completed a PhD in high energy physics at the University of Melbourne. He then studied law at the University of Western Australia and received a Bachelor of Civil Law from the University of Oxford.
