What changes do I need to make?

For most users you will not have to make any changes at all. The change has been rolled out seamlessly to you.  If you have customized your World News Tab or if you have a Westlaw Watch clip or Westclip running over any of the databases listed above you should review the below information to see if any manual change is required.

World News Tab

We have updated the World News Tab to incorporate these changes. This change has been applied to all users who have not customized their World News tab.  If you have customized your World News Tab you will need to go into Westlaw International, remove the old multibases and add in the new multibases manually.

Click here for instructions on how to edit content on your World News Tab to remove old multibases and add new versions.

Westclips

We have updated all affected westclips to ensure your alerting is not interrupted. Your clips will continue as scheduled with the new DB ID applied. No manual action is required.

Westlaw Watch Clips

We have updated all affected Westlaw Watch clips to ensure your alerting is not interrupted. Your clips will continue as scheduled with the new DB ID applied. No manual action is required.

We recommend that you check your clips to ensure the changes have taken effect. If your clips still show the old database identifier you will need to update the clip manually.

Deep Links

Due to the nature of Deep Links and where they are located we are unable to update your deep links to these databases automatically. To update your Deep links simply replace the current DB ID with the new DB ID. All other components of the URL remain the same.

If you require any asistance or have any questions regarding updating your deep links please contac tus on 1800 020 548
